On Mother’s Day, Carl Ellerman of Landisburg will occupy a familiar spot at the head of a convoy of trucks gathered in Lancaster to raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Ellerman, who also is a gift-granter for the foundation, estimates that over the years he has raised more than $140,000 for Make-A-Wish. Pre-convoy activities include kids’ games, live bands, strolling clowns, food, an auction, stage acts and mascots and other costumed characters.
