Cathy made her costume and the costumes for the two other bats, Isla Burfoot, 9, and Amelia Wilson, 10. Cathy's daughter, Jenna Wadsworth, 9, is one of its students and performs as a bat in the dance school's 2011 end-of-year production, The Sleeping Beauty. She started making costumes for the dance school when Jenna joined three years ago. Cathy Wadsworth is a dab hand with needles, thread and a sewing machine and is the unofficial animal-costume designer at the Sharon Rennie School of Dance. The first year she made pink, sparkly mice skins and last year three furry bear suits. The seamstress says she didn't have any pattern to work from but started with a prototype then made adjustments to suit.
