I had a TON of fun dressing up and trick-or-treating when I was a kid (I’m 42 now) and I think it would be a shame for your daughter to miss out on that…especially since kids her age tend to love costumes year ’round (I see ballerinas in Wal-Mart... Dress her as a princess or a ballerina or something simple. There is nothing wrong with letting your kids dress up in costumes, that’s the whole point of Halloween. Everyone else is dressing up in a costume. Even if you don’t celebrate, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have to…. Let the kid have some fun. There’s no reason to go overboard with a costume, what you have suggested is just fine. Halloween is a holiday for people of all ages, especially for children so they can dress up, have fun and get candy. The holiday has a far different meaning now than it did when the Pagans started it. It’s fun now and mostly geared toward kids. I think you should dress her up super cute....
